New Delaware Community Offers Solar as a Standard Feature

Kw Solar Solutions is proud to announce a great advancement for home solar power in Delaware.  The new Meridian Crossing Townhome development in Bear, DE is now offering solar panels as a standard feature on all their existing townhomes.  The community is being constructed by the Reybold Group of Delaware.  Kw Solar Solutions has installed solar power systems on the first 3 buildings of townhomes.  In addition to solar panels, all homes are Energy Star Certified with energy star appliances, insulation and geothermal heating and cooling systems.  Reybold Homes has just received Gold Certification from the National Association of Home Builders National Green Building Program.  Reybold is the first builder in Delaware, possibly even in the mid- Atlantic region, to include renewable energy and energy efficient systems as part of the basic price, according to Jerome S. Heisler Jr., owner of the The Reybold Group.

Renewable Energy as a standard feature on new construction may be common in the residential solar power movement for the near future.  "I feel this is a significant step for Delaware solar.  This is the mainstream acceptance of solar panels on homes" says Mark Berry of KW Solar Solutions of Newark, DE.   "What Reybold is doing on their residential as well as commercial buildings is the direction that construction should be going- energy efficient."  KW Solar recently installed a 35 kw solar electric system on the Reybold Self Storage building off Delaware route 1 in Bear.
